In attendance at the premiere were Brian Henson, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Hans Zimmer, Bob Geldoff, Vanessa Feltz, Sandy Tolkzvig, Kevin Bishop and many others. Before the film started Brian Henson made a brief introduction. On the day leading up to the premiere, Kermit and Gonzo made several appearances at the Festival of the Sea, and filmed several local TV spots. Tickets to the premiere and after Party were priced at £25 per ticket and were sold in aid of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). The event was organized by Buena Vista International (UK) Ltd.
