The Soviet Union had been a major player in World War 2 however by 1945 it had been brutally crushed by the Nazi war machine and its people subjected to harsh German rule. Hitler maintained an ideological war against the former Marxist regime. The Red Army was far from destruction pushed back well into Sibera they formed a new Communist state. Stalin established the new capital at Omsk however it became a target of the German army after the Axis forces had initiated conquests further east. After the destruction and killing of Stalin and most of the politburo the Soviet Union split into mutltiple guerrilla groups fighting for different flags and ideologies.
