Dawson Lechlider is a former NASCAR driver from Silver Spring, MD. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career. All of those races came in 1951, when Lechlider debuted at the famed Daytona Beach. Starting 18th in the field of fifty-four, Lechlider struggled in his debut and finished 50th. Luckily he was able to improve in his other three events, but only earned just one top-twenty. It was a 12th at North Wilkesboro.
