221B Baker Street was the fictional address of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in London, England. Located in a multistory building, it was the residence of Holmes in the 1890s. It included a sitting room in which Holmes kept objects of significance to him. The furniture in this room was of the Victorian era. In early 2365, aboard the USS Enterprise-D, this sitting room was recreated for a holodeck program used by Data and Geordi La Forge. (TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data" ) The Federation starship USS Sherlock Holmes had the registry NCC-221B; this was apparently an homage to this address.
