The VX-9 Mailoc, also known as the VX-9 Redeemer by the Republic was a gunship manufactured by the Dromund Kalakar shipyards and used by the Sith Empire. It impressed Republic pilots so much that when they encountered it in combat they requested "a ship like that!". The Republic Strategic Information Service then carried out a long operation to steal the VX-9 Mailoc design specifications. The mission was a complete success, and the VX-9 Redeemer was then manufactured for Republic forces.
