The Enormous Crocodile's enemy. He is an elephant who is no pushover and certainly disapproves of the Enormous Crocodile's plans to eat children. At the end of the story, when the Crocodile ambushes a group of children by pretending to be a picnic bench, Trunky lifts him up by the tail, tells him everyone's had enough of his clever tricks, then swings him round and round with his trunk so fast that when he lets go, the Enormous Crocodile zooms up into outer space and crashes into the sun, where he is sizzled up like a sausage.
