The Natalie's Memento is a modified M6J/C carbine owned illegally by Law Enforcement Officer Edmond Dahm, which was used primarily after his time in the UNSC Marines came to an end. Though he had possession of the weapon for decades before he began to actively use it, and due the severity of Circumstance's laws have on illegal weaponry ownership, he rarely used or even touched it, keeping it as a nod to his wild youth. For him, it served more as a personal reminder of how close he got to becoming a criminal and to reinforce his will to stay true to his beliefs. As such, he continuously marked the weapon to ensure this meaning never left the vessel - the seemingly-random scratches are actually number markings, most of which were added after the modifications to allow him to remember those h
