Brown worms are a type of monster in ADOM. Like all worms, brown worms are breeders — meaning that if a number of them is left untouched for too long, their numbers can eventually grow very large and they can swarm the PC perhaps faster than (s)he can kill them. Whilst usually not very strong, they have the worrying ability to paralyze the PC on successful hits — especially frustrating for doomed PCs (which suffer from increased chances of having their PV bypassed) that get surrounded by brown worms, as it may lead to a very tedious death
