The University of Sanbra, on Sanbra, was renowned for its sentientologist and xenobiology programs. The University of Sanbra Guide to Intelligent Life was written by Tem Eliss from his experiences in these programs. During the Republic Dark Age, the Sith Lord Odion sacked the University of Sanbra at the behest of his uncle Chagras, and he seized some research that had been compiled by the university on the Helm of Ieldis, a legendary Sith artifact. The University had a branch research campus on the Jedi starship Chu'unthor.
