Hurack was the first Guard Captain of Frostkeep to appear in in-game history. He was originally from Tarloc, and considered to be a 'good but harsh man'. However, during the first battle of Frostkeep, Hurack betrayed Frostkeep and it was revealed that he was a Blackguard of Cyric, planning to seize control of Frostkeep with the hordes of undead in the crypts and other means that remain unknown to most. Adventurers found out that he had been working together with Zerion to open some kind of Arithmian prison or portal for a woman known as Lady Shadoweye. To do this he needed some sort of key hidden in the deepest chambers of the Frostkeep Crypts, blocked by fallen debris.
