Today Tecmo rejected Square Enix's "friendly proposal" of buying the company, and instead stated that they'd rather merge with Koei, a much smaller company the Squeenix. This could possibly be a smart move, seeing that the Koei name wouldn't overshadow the Tecmo name as much as Square Enix would, but we'll have to wait to see what Koei has to say about this matter at another time.
