Teyla Wyn was born on Kiffu into the Wyn clan. The clan is identified by purple facial tatoos, or qukuuf. As a child Teyla had always shown heightenned dexterity. Her mother sometimes seemed puzzled by this, but her father always had a sense of knowing. As time went on her father began to teach her different styles of martial arts. He eventually taught her how to use vibro swords. Thoughout the years she learned many different forms of combat. Teyla became one of the leading warriors of her clan.
