Earning money as a low level works great when you collect minor items and sell them to npcs. For example hatchets can be sold for 25 gp each in Fibula. Most players are not interested in hatchets and leave them in monsters corpses or push them to the ground. Grap a bag and collect all hatchets in all dwarf mines. It takes approximate 2 hours but it's worth it. Last time I earned 8k using this methode.
