The Committee of the Systems was an arm of the Confederate Systems government, under the Confederate Systems Constitution. The Committee consisted of one member from each system, and carried out the executive functions of government while the Congress of the Confederation was in recess. The Committee was set up in 7 BBY on the proposal of Bail Organa, then a congressman from Alderaan.
