Jason LaPenna was played by actor Will McCormack. He is the son of Dr. Jennifer Melfi and Richard LaPenna. During the run of the show he attended Bard College in Annandale-On-Hudson, NY. He was portrayed as an intelligent, level headed student in general, who was devoted to his mother. He was not associated with any criminal element, and was shown to have the capacity for insightful yet dispassionate discourse regarding his family's shared Italian-American heritage. Jason generally disliked getting in the middle of his parents' disagreements, and often sought a conciliatory path.
