Sir William James Bell (3 May 1859 - 2 April 1913) was a barrister and politician. Educated at Cambridge, he was called to the bar in 1882. A member of the Liberal Unionist Party, he was a Scottish resident in the 1890s, conteasting the parliamentary seat of Caithness in 1892 and holding the office of Deputy Chairman of Ross and Cromarty County Council from 1890-92. He was knighted in 1892. By 1902 he was living in London, and was selected as a Moderate Party alderman on the London County Council, sitting until 1907. He died from appendicitis in 1913, aged 53.
