The USS Enterprise NCC-1701, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, visited the planet Calgius III. Captain Kirk beamed down with a landing party, leaving Sulu in command. The landing party was searching when they were attacked by a Calgian tribe! Scotty set his phaser to vaporize and killed all the tribe's members. Kirk feared that the Calgian tribes were dangerous, so he cancelled the landing party and they all beamed back to the Enterprise. The Enterprise left Calgius III and warped to Cygnius VIII.
