Zone 91 is a human military base in the middle of one of Earth's deserts, which supposedly held a piece of an alien spacecraft. This made the Yeerks invading Earth very eager to shut down the project. However, the secret Zone 91 so carefully guarded was in fact a recovered "modular waste disposal system" - essentially, the toilet of an Andalite Dome Ship.
