De Toppers are a Dutch group formed in 2005 by Dutch singers Gordon Heuckeroth, René Froger and Gerard Joling. The latter previously represented the country at the 1988 Contest in Dublin. In 2008, Gordon was replaced by Jeroen van der Boom. They represented their home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with the song Shine, which finished in 17th place in the second semi final, meaning the country had missed out on the final for another year.
