The Battle of K7-49 was a major engagement of the Human-Covenant War that took place in 2537. Following the discovery of a large Covenant shipyard, the United Nations Space Command launched a series of attacks on the shipyard's crucial foundry, culminating in the deployment of S-III commandos. Though horrifically costly - all S-III commandos involved were killed in action - the operation was a strategic success, and the Covenant shipyard destroyed.
