The Imperial Andermani Army (IAA) was the primary ground combat branch of the Anderman Empire's armed forces. The IAA was similiar to the armies of any star nation, except that all troopers were trained in constabulary and disaster relief work. This made the Army an important tool in the assimilation of new worlds into the Empire. In twenty century PD there was no marine corps in the Empire, so Army units served aboard the Imperial Andermani Navy's starships, and the ships had much smaller contingents than comparable ships of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
