Detraxors were devices that the people of Parnassos used to collect the nutrients from a dead body. The reclaimed "essence" would then be used to create an oily substance called oracle salve, which served as protection from the sun, rain, and many diseases, and could also be made into a liniment that helped wounds heal. Similar devices also existed on Otomok, but only for beasts.
