Candles are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. They are found in the Mermaid's Cave and the Ancient Tomb. They are immune to nearly every weapon, and will cause Link to recoil if he hits one with a sword. Their only weakness is fire. If Link sets a Candle's wick aflame with an Ember Seed, it begins moving in a 45° angle towards the nearest wall. It then proceeds to bounce off the walls, gradually increasing in speed as it frantically tries to extinguish the flame, before fading away as it explodes.
