Asako Scholars were those few Asako who displayed the “Mind of Fire,” a tremendous natural talent for memory and an intuitive grasp of how to apply connections between different fields of study in ways nobody else could have imagined. These individuals were trained in the special dojo, honing their gifts for both scholarly research and courtly service. Their true skill was their ability through the study of multiple topics to decipher the connections between all fields of study. The Scholars' dojo seldom had more than a couple of dozen students at a time, and a few had been recruited from the ranks of the Asako Henshin. The majority of the Scholars served in the Asako Libraries.
