The Twelve Olympians are the principal deities of the Greek pantheon. A total of fourteen different deities were Olympians, but never more than twelve at one time. Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, and Artemis were always Olympians, while the remainder of the twelve was two of Hestia, Demeter, Dionysus, and Hades.
