Lian Yu (Mandarin: 炼狱 Liànyù, Translated as Purgatory) is an Island in the North China Sea that Oliver Queen was stranded on for five years, between 2007 and 2012, before he was found by fishermen. Upon arrival after the shipwreck, Oliver buried his father, under stone rocks. At first, it seemed that Oliver was alone on The Island. However it is slowly revealed that there is much more to The Island than it seemed.
