The ICT Diffusion Index, developed by UNCTAD in the context of its support of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and first published in 2003. The index contained eight indicators clustered into two categories of connectivity and access. The ICT Diffusion Index later was abandoned in favor of the ICT Opportunity Index.
