Seppun Muyoku was a blind samurai who served as a translator to gaijin merchants coming to Rokugan for over forty years. He became a friend of the newcomer diplomat Iuchi Xien, who was not accustomed to the standard Rokugani customs. He was translating for a man named Tetsu in Otosan Uchi the day that Doji Hoturi fought in a duel with Hiruma Maruku for the honor of Shosuro Kachiko.
