The office of the PM-ISE is coordinating an interagency effort with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Interior (DOI), the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and the Department of Commerce (DOC) to develop a Geospatial Interoperability Reference Architecture (GIRA) to foster the reuse of geospatial services, reduce their information technology (IT) investment costs, and promote information sharing.
