The USS Sitak was a Miranda-class Federation starship that saw service during the 24th century. The Sitak took part in Operation Return in 2374. The ship was escorting the USS Defiant with the USS Majestic as the Federation fleet tried to break through the Dominion lines to reach Deep Space 9. The ship finally succumbed to enemy fire that succeed to bring down the ship's shields. It suffered a severe hit to its port nacelle before a torpedo struck the forward saucer. This hit destroyed nearly half of the saucer crippling the ship and taking it out of the battle. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")
