Garion met her (with Silk, Barak, and Durnik) near the shipyard of Val Alorn. Maidee was sledding, accompanied an unnamed, large, red-haired boy. Maidee was flirting with Garion and the boy threatened to thrash Garion when Garion slugged him in the nose, causing a nose bleed.
