Karla Hysopi was a woman from Vorkosigan Surleau to whom Sergeant Bothari entrusted the raising of his daughter Elena. She took her duties very seriously, to the point of forcing Vordarian's people to kidnap her along with Elena when she refused to give the baby up to them.
