The Greek god Poseidon(海王ポセイドン or 海皇ポセイドンKaiō Poseidon, the two instances of Kaiō meaning King of the Seas and Emperor of the Seas, respectively) is one of the main antagonists in the Manga Saint Seiya, authored by Masami Kurumada, that was later adapted to Anime. He was created by Kurumada based on the mythologic persona of the same name.
