Free Weekends (also called an Open Weekends) are periods during which all players are allowed to use members servers. The first Open Weekend was held from 9 June to 12 June 2017. The second Free Weekend occured from 24 November to 27 November 2017. Players were given the option of opting-in or out of the June Open Weekend through a pop-up in the lobby upon logging in; this option wasn't available during the November Free Weekend. However, players who didn't wish to participate in the November weekend could simply stick to free worlds if they so desired.
