Otis Turner (29 November 1862 – 28 March 1918) was a film director and screenwriter who worked on the two earliest Oz film projects. While employed by the Selig Polyscope Company, Turner directed the filmed scenes from John Dough and the Cherub that appeared in the second half of L. Frank Baum's 1908 stage show Fairylogue and Radio-Plays. Turner also shared screenwriting duties with Baum. Two years later, in 1910, Turner wrote and directed the 1910 film version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the first movie adaptation of Baum's book.
