Oakheart Witherspyk (known as "Oakie" by close friends and family) was a hedgehog who lived on a large house-raft that floated around the river system of Mossflower Woods. He was the son of Crumfiss, the husband of Dymphnia, and the father of Dubdub, Rambuculus, Auroria, Trajidia, Jiddle and Jinty Witherspyk. Oakheart was the leader of the Witherspyk Performing Players, a group that performed and played for woodlanders for food and drink, etc. He wore a big, floppy wide-brimmed hat and a cloak about his shoulders. He visited his friends at Redwall Abbey after Buckler Kordyne and Diggs met up with him, and his twins Jiddle and Jinty were kidnapped by the Ravagers.
