Buoy droids were small floating droids used as beacons and guides in the spaceports of the planet Coruscant. When Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree arrived at Coruscant's Imperial Academy from their homeworld, Jelucan, a number of these droids guided them through the spaceport's corridors to the academy shuttle.
