Redford Prison houses female offenders, either on remand or serving full custodial sentences and is located within the Manchester area. Deirdre Rachid was sent here when wrongfully convicted of fraud in 1998 and shared a cell with Jackie Dobbs. Deirdre was eventually proved innocent and released.
