Republic Stormtroopers, formerly known as Sith Stormtroopers, were former members of a legion of Sith soldiers who received what was said to be the most elite training in the galaxy. Some Sith stormtroopers were given special black armor and worked in teams of three. They first appeared during the Kalastian-Sith War and fought for the Sith Federation of the Darmorus system during the Sith Extinction War. After the Sith Extinction War, they were elite troopers for the Grand Army of the Kalastian Republic.
