This scenario takes place over 1600 turns from the 3rd Century BC to the 2nd Century AD. The playable civilization is the Roman Civilization; they are in the player 1 slot. But Ptolemaic Egypt and Carthage are also powerful. There are 27 civilizations in this scenario some of which are only meant to have about 2 or 3 cities such as the Gauls. During this scenario a huge chunk of the classical ages (600 BC - 500 AD) takes place, so everything from Scipio, Julius Caesar, to Hadrian. Rome gets The Appian Way to start off with and Greece is trying to build the Philosopher's Stone, also known as the Oracle in the Civilization games.
