Beginning with season 43, Toolajian began composing songs and cues for the show itself, including "Let's Find Out" (the regular song in "Murray's Science Experiments") and even a music cue just for Baby David. He also plays piano as part of the show's in-house band. Toolajian is a partner in Sandblast Productions, a sound design studio, with fellow Sesame colleagues Michael Ungar and sound mixer Ralph Kelsey. Sandblast did the sound mixing for Abby's Flying Fairy School.
