Nicolás Hernán Gonzalo Otamendi (born 12 February 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for English club Manchester City as a central defender. In his professional career he played mainly for Vélez Sarsfield and Porto, winning eight major titles with the second including three national championships and the 2011 Europa League. An Argentine international since 2009, Otamendi represented the country at the 2010 World Cup and the 2015 Copa América, helping them to the final of the latter.
