Ravanar IV was a planet in the Taurus Reach, the fourth planet of the Ravanar system. In 2263 the planet was visited by the USS Constellation, teams from the Constellation took biological samples and discovered what would become known as the Meta-genome. This discovery resulted in the fast tracked construction of Starbase 47 nearby.
