He is married to fellow Star Trek stuntwoman Sandy Berumen-Justus. In 2002 Justus was twice nominated for a Taurus World Stunt Award for best best driving in Swordfish shared with Gilbert Combs and Scott Rogers and for hardest hit in The Fast and the Furious and won two awards for best driving and best work with a vehicle in the film The Fast and the Furious and shared the previous one with stuntman Tim Trella. He has doubled for stars such as John Travolta, Robert Downey, Jr., Hugh Jackman, Brett Cullen, and Clive Owen.
