Stan was a Beckindale resident and a regular in The Woolpack. He attended the sheepdog trials in January 1973 and congratulated the Sugden and Skilbeck family on the birth of Matt and Peggy Skilbeck's twins in April 1973, drunkenly spilling his beer all over Sam Pearson in the process.
