It is owned by Sega which also owns WTHQ-AM and WTHQ-TV, and it offers a hybird preschool/entertainment format featuring CBeebies Radio programming direct from the UK from 6am to 10am along with entertainment programming from 10am to 6pm featuring live 30 minute talk shows, fashion news, the latest entertainment news, celebrity interviews and gossip. From 6pm to 6:30pm, WBFO (88.7 FM) produces WTHQ-FM's daily local news and entertainment magazine "Buffalo Now", followed by "Marketplace" in a simulcast with WBFO. From 7pm to 6am, WTHQ-FM continues its entertainment programming throughout the night.
