The Colosseum was just finished before the Battle of Arkasis in 2557 CE, and was rushed straight into battle as Admiral Pikes requested ships to go assist their Elite allies. The ship was actually not expected to survive, since the captain and the crew were completely green and the ship had just been armed and armored a few days before combat. But the ship emerged from the battle with most of the crew still alive. The crew got commendations for valor against enemy forces on the field, and for the highly unexpected good results on the battlefield.
