Forest Navel is the 3rd area in Pikmin. It is unlocked by getting 5 ship parts. The entire area is underground and is accessed by a hole in a vast clearing of the forest. From high altitude, it looks like a belly button, hence its name. This area is where Olimar will meet Blue Pikmin, a type of Pikmin that can breathe underwater, for the first time. Nine pieces of Captain Olimar's ship, the S.S. Dolphin, can be found in the area. Those pieces are necessary to complete the game.
