Initially made up of rouge shinobi of the Nara clan. A small cluster of shinobi defiant of the First Hokage's reign left the village roaming the forests for years. It was Reizu Niigata sealed a demon within his own body that his jutsu evolved into another state of his shadow mastery. He passed this trait known as Shade Release down through the lineage of the Niigata Clan. They gained the ability to manipulate and shape the shadows into various more forms.
