Angela was one of the four candidates for the Community Centre’s Youth Club leader in November 1975 when Ken Barlow realised that current occupant Janice Berry was using her position to bully the other kids and getting them to bring her cigarettes. Ken forced an election. Aside from Janice and Angela, the other candidates were Keith and Mary Broughton, who was successful in winning the vote. Credited as “Girl”, Angela’s name was given in dialogue in the episode.
